The Pine Knolls/Dominican Republic Partnership
Pine Knolls is developing a missions partnership with the Dominican Republic for the purpose of engaging individuals from Pine Knolls Alliance in doing the work of missions together with C&MA missionaries in that country. The partnership provides greater opportunities for ownership, increased involvement, and deeper relationships.
Already six work teams from Pine Knolls have traveled to the Dominican Republic over the past eight years. During these one week trips people from Pine Knolls work side-by-side with C&MA missionaries and national church leaders from that country on construction projects and church ministries such as Vacation Bible School.
Bruce and Becky Dyke are well known by all who have been part of the work teams traveling to the Dominican Republic. For many years the Dykes served as managers of the Alliance Guest Home in Santo Domingo where work teams stay. View the Dyke's PowerPoint.
Bruce is currently the Field Director for the C&MA in the Dominican Republic. He also serves as the field leader and coordinator of short-term work teams. Bruce and Becky are involved in Alliance Marriage Encounters in Santo Domingo.
Zac and Julie Stutler were instrumental in beginning the Encounter Church in Santo Domingo where they served as leadership partners for several years. The Stutler's are currently on furlough in the United States. They will return to a new location in the Dominican Republic in July 2008 to lead the planting of another church. Read Stutler's Letter
Within the past two years both the Dykes and Stutler's have come to Pine Knolls as guest speakers at Missions Conference.
Bill and Nancy Wessling After traveling with Pine Knolls work team to the Dominican Republic, Bill and Nancy returned to the Dominican Republic and are now in their second year as managers of the Alliance Guest Home in Santo Domingo. Read Wessling's Letter
Kathy Petteys is from our area and is a missionary with the C&MA in Venezuela. She works as Director of Spiritual Formation for leaders of youth and children's ministries in the cities of Caracas, Maracay and Valencia.
Craig & Sue Querfeld are missionaries to Peru with TEAM (The Evangelical Alliance Mission). They have served in Arequippa, Peru since 1995 with their three children. They are currently involved in church planting in El Camino. Read Querfeld's Letter
Wolfgang & Carol Maier have been serving in Northern Ireland since 1994. They are working with the Yielded Evangelical Servants missions organization. Read Maiers' Letter
Glen and Jennifer Anderson have returned to the United States with their family after serving as missionaries in Nepal with Interserve for several years. They are planning to settle in the Albany/Glens Falls area. The Anderson's will be our featured missionaries during our Spring Missions Conference May 2-5.
Jeff and Debbie Diehl are working among 1.2 billion Muslims who live in Kosovo. They are missionaries with CrossWorld Ministries. Read Diehl's Letter
Dave and Nancy Farnum teach at the English Language Institute in Vietnam. They serve with IFAP, the International Fellowship of Alliance Professionals.
The Pine Knolls Missions Fund
The Pine Knolls Missions Fund enables the people of Pine Knolls to join Christ as He builds His church around the world. Each year at one of our Missions Conferences we give opportunity for people of Pine Knolls to prayerfully make a one year pledge to this fund. Gifts to the PKA Missions Fund support missionaries and missions related endeavors primarily with the Christian and Missionary Alliance as well as other organizations.
